Terms of Service
Last updated 15 September 2026These terms govern your use of Markov, at https://markov.company. Markov is operated by Marcu Calandea, a sole trader trading as Markov ("we", "us"). By creating an account you agree to these terms.
Markov is a journalling and tracking tool. It is not financial advice.
We are not a broker, a dealer, an exchange, or an investment adviser. Markov does not execute, place, route, or settle trades, and has no access to your brokerage or funded account. It records what you tell it and compares that against limits you set yourself.
Nothing in the product — including rule warnings, violation notices, statistics, or any figure shown on any screen — is a recommendation to enter or exit a position, and none of it guarantees any trading outcome, profit, or performance. Trading carries risk, including the loss of your capital and the failure of a prop firm evaluation. Those risks remain entirely yours. We are not liable for any trading loss, missed gain, breached account, or failed challenge, whether or not Markov warned you, failed to warn you, or was unavailable at the time.
1. What the service does
Markov lets you record trades, define rules for your own trading — a daily loss limit, a daily trade limit, a limit on consecutive losses, and a permitted session window — and see when your logged activity breaches them. It tracks prop firm accounts and challenge progress against the targets you enter.
The service depends on the accuracy of what you enter. We do not connect to your broker and cannot verify your trades. Figures shown are derived from your own inputs.
2. Accounts
You need an account to use the service. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for everything done through your account. You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live, and you may not use the service if sanctions or local law prohibit it.
3. Subscription, trial and billing
Markov costs £25 per month. New accounts get a 14-day free trial with full access, and we do not ask for card details to start it. When the trial ends, logging trades and editing rules are locked until you subscribe; your existing history stays readable.
Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd, which acts as Merchant of Record for every purchase. Paddle, not us, is the seller on the transaction, handles payment and tax, and appears on your statement. Paddle's own buyer terms apply to the payment itself.
Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. Prices may change; we will give notice before a change affects a renewal, and any change applies from your next billing period, never retroactively.
4. Cancellation
You may cancel at any time from the Subscription screen, which opens Paddle's customer portal. Cancelling stops future billing immediately. Access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, after which writing is locked and your records remain readable. See the Refund Policy for what is and is not refundable.
5. Acceptable use
- Do not use the service unlawfully, or to break a rule imposed on you by a prop firm or broker.
- Do not resell, sublicense, or present the service as your own.
- Do not attempt to access another user's data, or probe, scrape, or overload the service.
- Do not upload content that is unlawful or infringes someone else's rights.
- Do not use the service to provide regulated financial advice to others.
6. Your data and your content
Your trades, rules and account settings remain yours. You grant us only the permission needed to store and display them back to you. We handle personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Availability
We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows.
8. Termination
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, that we are legally required to act on, or that is being used to harm the service or other users. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will give notice and an opportunity to put things right first. On termination you may request an export of your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Limitation of liability
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Subject to that, we are not liable for trading losses, lost profits, lost opportunities, breached or failed prop firm accounts, lost data arising from your own inputs, or any indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is material we will tell you before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that counts as acceptance.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep any mandatory rights and protections available to you where you live.
